    I have a simple question............

During synchronization of news groups, the contents of the various "New"
posts and replies thereof are down loaded to my computer and I can then
read any of those without being on-line ( this is good, because only have
dialup service). I can then mark any/all of these as being "read" and can
create a filter-view to handle any "read-ignored" messages.

The next time I am on-line I can repeat the above and the synchronization
process down loads only the those posts that have not been read nor ignored.

    A noble process indeed

My question is: what happens to those messages that I down loaded and
marked as "read" previously. ??................. do they remain on my hard
drive..?? ......... or does my computer quietly and automatically delete
    them ??........... or what ??
