    Hi guys,

Could someone tell me what a PCI-e 1x slot is, and what it can be used for? Thanks.

PCI-E x1 are not typically used for video cards, but you can get USB and firewire cards, network cards, etc. that use this type of connection. Although regular old PCI slots are still the most common type of connector for these parts.
