What is Intel v//v??

    What is the intel v//v software that is ran in the backround when I start windows Vista? Do I need it? If not how to I disable it at startup?

    Intel VIIV is your processor. Specifically, Viiv is a particular combination of CPU, mainboard chipset, software, Digital Rights Management and network card.

    mainly a marketing term, as stated above, consisting of certain Intel processors and chipsets. It is similar marketing wise to the "Centrino technology" push of a few years ago. It also happens to be the roman numeral for 64 ("VI" "IV")
