What kind of cable do I use to connect the vga of my laptop to the rgb of my tv set

    According to the specs in your link, the TV does not have RGB inputs. It has "Component Video (YPbPr)". Y, Pb, Pr is very different from R, G, B video. You would need some type of video converter box with active electronics and not some kind of simple cable, with different connectors on each end.
