What Kind of Memory Should Be Added?

    Hello,
    I have a Compaq S6900NX AMD 64BIt 3200+ with 512mb 3200 chip. I don't what type of chip should I buy to make it 1024, Does it have to be the from Compaq? or can I buy it at stores? when I opened it it was a Samsung chip so no idea. DDR or SDRAM I don't know what it takes :-(

    This program will tell you exactly what chip it is:

    After you install the above program, click on Motherboard in the left window pane, then click on SPD that that window.

    Or you can go to www.crucial.com and input your type of computer in their search database and they will tell you how much and what types you can use in that Compaq.
