Got given a second-hand office computer, see stats uploaded image. I want to get some more memory another 4gb stick but it has no info other than Dimm 1A How and what do i buy?
You appear to have a Fujitsu desktop computer that has an Intel Core i3-3220 3.30 GHz processor and 4 GB of RAM and is running Windows Vista Ultimate.
According to the Intel processor it has, it should support up to 32 GB of DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 RAM.
If you open the case, you can confirm if it has 1 - 4 GB module or 2 - 2 GB modules.
The label/sticker on the module should tell you what speed it is.
Unless that Fujitsu desktop is running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate, there's no point in adding more RAM.
A 32-bit version will recognize and use only 4 GB of RAM.
It has two slots on the motherboard and one 4gb of ram with nothing written on the ram stick. This is why I ask what I should get. the only info I have regarding the sticks, is what cpuz has given me. So can i clarify are you saying that any 4gb stick ddr3 - 1600 or 1330, and it will be the same as the one in there already if so thanks. (I want to know what stick i have is, so I can get a duplicate.) thanks
As Frank said in post #3 you need to check if you have a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows.
Start > Control Panel > System will show which you have.
If it's 32 bit it can only use up to 4GB and there's no point in adding more Ram.

I was given all the innards but not the case so cant answer that sorry. had a case already.
If you installed the hardware components in another case, even though the 4 GB module doesn't have any label on it, you should you be able to describe the motherboard.
It should have information embossed in it or on its labels.
Start here http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-info
and run either the system tool on the right or fill in the 3 blanks if you know the manufacturer, product line and model on the left.
Page 1 states the RAM is: DDR3 1600/1333/1066 SDRAM
Page 2 states there are 2 DIMM slots and you can use single or dual channel
Not a clue what the maximum amount of RAM supported is so go to the Crucial site for that information.
