Well I Am Sticking With AMD Now So I Am Going With Socket 939 ( Plz Dont Leave Any Comments About Any AM2 ) And I Saw That The 3700+ Has A 1MB Cache And The 3800+ Has A 512KB Cache...Which Is Better

Thank You Very Much

P.S. I'm Getting A ASUS A8NE Motherboard With This Processor And Also A 7600GT PCI-E

:D

Bye!
1MB Cache is better. the 2 cpus being so close in speeds I would say the 3700 is better to the amount of Cache.

Cache is like having ram right on the cpu. So the more cache the more amount of data the CPU can pull in and out without taking a extra step to pull from the system ram or hard drive. thus making it faster.

Results show that the increase in cache will offer a very modest gain (2 to 3%) and that can be influenced by other hardware such as the video card for certain tasks whereas the clock speed will translate in all areas so I guess I'd opt for the faster clock speed in this case. Of course I'm prejudiced since I have the 3800 :D

Well I Specifically Am Getting AMD For Gaming Purposes

Counterstrike Series (1.6,CZ,Source)
Battlefield 2 ( Both Special Forces And Regular )

Well that could lead to an advantage with the 3700 if they were both running at the same clock speed so are you overclocking or just running at the default. Others may have a different opinion but for me I'd choose the clock speed if you're using the defaults.

For most games the higher clock speed does more then a larger cache.
This answer would depend on many variables such as what type of games and what Ghz' difference are we speaking of between the CPu's and several other variables.

When posting my response I was thinking in gaming. I got that ideal from the

Even with the chart provided from tomeshardware you can see the 3700 performs better then the 3800 in F.E.A.R which is a heavy graphic game. I am surprised it is just the opposite in 3Dmark06.

overall performance the 3800 will come out on top for sure but when it comes to graphics Cache is the answer on very close in speed of the Ghz Cpu's

Well sometimes but in the comparison chart you'll notice that Call of Duty is decidedly in favor of the faster clock where as in FEAR it's almost a non existent difference. As you said, "This answer would depend on many variables". My experience for overall computing the clock speed wins all things being equal. Isn't this what makes this forum fun, there's no one answer :D
