From experience I can say the BEST SSD I have used in the Samsung Evo 850, I have also used the Pro series. All of them seem to work really well and are very reliable. The best thing I find is the Samsung Magician software that allows you to configure the way the SSD functions. It also updates the firmware when available. Samsung would be my suggestion.
also... i don't get the bit about the samsung magician software.
what's so good about it?
what kind of configuration could i possibly want?
don't u just stick into into your laptop and just use? why would u need to configure?
thanks
They will all be faster than a traditional spinning disk drive. So buy simply based on price and warranty. The warranty length is typically a fairly good sign of quality.
I've found Sandisk SSD's to be good value although Samsung ones do get better reviews you will see a big speed up with any SSD compared to a mechanical HDD.
You have to transfer the OS to the SSD if it's the only drive you will have.
