Need blocker to combat Spamming of my home E-mail account that's effective, easy to set up, use, & change settings in the Spam blocker if needed.

Using Outlook Express 5.50.4133.2400 with no updates since computer was bought in Sept. 2001.

    Also using DirectX 6.1a

I read about a newly released spam filter on another forum that sounds good, but I've not used it. If you want to give it a go, it seems to meet your specs, including being free. Yaspi can be found here. I can say the program's author has several other successful applications and this is just the latest.

Here is a popular one--free, easy to setup. There is a Pro version avilable at a nominal cost, but the Free version works just as well.

Ok thanks for all the Info everyone!

Will take look at the Freeware MailWasher & see what it looks like.
Been plagued recently at my home E address with spam; up to about 2 weeks ago I'd get 5 or 6 pieces a week, but now, I'm getting 8 or 10 per day

    UPDATE:

Hmm, after reading the reviews & the things it does, I was seriously considering getting for the Pro version instead if I can spare the $, but after finding out the Company's in New Zealand, & I don't have Credit cards or PayPal, will go with the Freeware.
