What's better: A CD-RW or a Syquest Drive

    I am upgrading my machine to include a CD-RW drive and an extra parallel port card to use with my external 1 Gig Syquest drive.

    All things being equal, which piece will do a better job for me,
    for downloads, backups etc.

    I don't download music, but do a lot of golf games, FS and the such.

    Thoughts please.

    My vote is for the CDRW.....media is less expensive and if you plan on moving files from one computer to another, more people are going to have a CDROM or CDRW than a Syquest Drive....

    BTW, didn't they go out of business?
