"... wireless account from our local ISP ..."

Not the usual situation, so please explain. Does this require a special wireless card, for example, as T-Mobile I think does? If so, is the card installed?

Or is this some type of Wi-Fi or Wi-Max system for which you can use a standard 802.11g wireless adapter? If so, does the PC have an integrated adapter? Or do you have a PC Card or USB adapter installed? Do you detect the network?

Finally, what are the instructions you got from the ISP?

I assume all this means is that when you applied for the Broadband you opted for a wireless router

If so can you post make and model of Laptop, router,

what else do you have connected to the broadband and how is it all connected
