    Hi
I have a New ACER laptop
it has 64-Bit Turion 2Ghz..but Vista installed is 32-Bit
im thinking of upgrading to 64-bit premium (for aero)
what is the difference and what benefits will i get from using 64-bit CPU+OS?
will it make the laptop faster (at least start up faster i hope)

    thanks

64 bit. Security, higher RAM cap. 64 bit processors can in theory reach 16exabytes.
Security, and twice the capacity to process instruction sets per clock cycle.
You will want 1GB to 2GB minimum for the 64bit version, where 1-2GB is more than enough for most 32bit users.

32bit has a slightly better compatibity rate, but not a huge difference.
