Whats the best freeware image scanner for my scanner?

    Hi whats best image scanner for my MP160 as win2k image scanner is bad!

    Please advice.

    Is this a Canon scanner? It should have come with software/drivers...

    Look in your programs or do a Windows search for ScanGear. I think that is the driver Canon loads for all their scanners.

    If it isn’t on your computer check the CD that came with your multi-function unit. Operating systems before XP didn’t have built in scanner drivers, so they have to come with the scanner. You can get the latest driver software from the Canon website if you don’t have the CD.

    I took a quick look at the specs and evidently there is a button on the scanner that initiates ScanGear.
