When I try to open any folder that contains photos or video files (.avi), after 2-3 seconds, my computer just freezes.
I already tried everything, I think. I tried to restart it, switch folder view to details, run scan for viruses, run few cleaner programs, but yet I have the same problem.
These are information about my computer that might be useful:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Version 2002
    Servise Pack 3, v.3311

    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU
    430 @ 1.80GHz
    1.79 GHz, 0.99GB of RAM

I don't know what to do, please help me :(

I would suggest the first thing to run a test on is your memory, please follow this guide.
