You should be able to enter your BIOS and disable the Intel Splash Screen from there

You said it shows for 2 minutes.. Does it then finish loading Windows or no? Will it boot to safe mode?

The most common reason for a freeze at the Intel Inside warning, is looking for a network . . was or is the machine connected to a network . . particularly a domain? . .

Do you get the same pause if starting in safe mode?

Which Intel board are you using? If you don't know, go to; http://www.gtopala.com/siw_download.html

and download SIW 1.65 to your desktop. You don't have to install the program, just launch it. After the program opens, click on motherboard and post the model of the board you are using.

Tap F8 about twice a second from the time you turn the pc on . . you will get a menu that includes starting in safe mode.
