Hi Endemix don't laugh re: igloos or pet beaver ...

When I first moved to NYC from Canada (many many many moons ago) I got asked questions like that frequently

But the really funny questions came when I went back to visit my Sister who lived in Northern Saskatchewan .. She introduced me to a friend of hers on the street as her sister Bea from New York ... there was a confused look on his face for a moment and then he asked me ... "So how did you two get to be sisters?)
after a little choked down laughter.. my sister told him that we had the same parents.. he then asked me if I knew any street gangs! .. OH well ... it's getting better.

Great Idea. there are interesting people or is that they are interesting. I am from Georgia, as in USA, specifically Alma. The FAA has a weather station here at a grass strip airport. About 280 miles southeast of Hartsfield International, thats in Atlanta. and about 60 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean. A small town, two banks, post office, library and no walmart. Dont know the population but whos counting lots of really good folks here maybe all

Hi Endemix. I'm from upstate New York. We live in the middle of 22,000 acres of state forest. Its a nice rural spot with lots of beautiful white birch and pine trees all around us and tons of wildlife to watch...best of all.....no neighbors close enough to see into the yard so its nice and private. The good thing about where I live is that we can drive about 10 miles to get to "town" and another few miles to get to canada if we really want to go to town! If we travel east, we head into the adirondack mountains (black bear country). Thats where we do our camping. I really love this area.
