Since purchasing my computer which came with Windows98, I have upgraded to Windows ME...which I love.....the only problem is a game my wife truly enjoyed was Spider...has somehow been deleted...I have the Full version of the Win98 Disk and the Update of WinME...I know the Spider Game is on one of the CD and I want to reinstall it for the wife...does anyone know where I need to look among all those files to locate the game and to install it?? Any assistance would be appreciared...:)

Hi there.

I sympathise with your wife - I'm a closet Spider Solitaire fan myself.

The simplest way to tackle this is to uninstall the Plus Gamescollection entirely then reinstall them.

All this is done through the Add/Remove programs applet under Control Panel. Go to it, go to the Windows Setup Tab and navigate to Games and highligh it, click on Details - this will show the three elements of the games in ME. Uncheck the Plus Games box, press Ok and follow the remaining instructions. This will uninstall Classic Games.
To reinstall, repeat the procedure, this time checking the Plus Games box and follow the instructions via the Have Disc (the ME disc) button.

This should restore Spider along with all the other games.

note the edit to 'Plus Games' - sorry!

It is on the winme or winxp cd's.
You should be able to reinstall it through start/settings/control panel/add remove/windows setup/games

I think this is correct for winme, don't have it
