For two weeks now when I turn on my computer it hasn't been able to start up. When I turn it on, the screen is black with white letters at the top which say that the battery may need to be replaced. The warranty for my computer is expired, and even if it wasn't I don't have the number which I would need to call to order a spare. That being the case, does anyone know where I should go, look, or call in order to buy a replacement battery for an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC, model number:dv6-1030us?

You may like to contact the manufacturer directly...

if you dont want to get a brand name battery for the computer from the computer mfr which can be pricey there is a lot of reputable places that sell good quality brand new generic batteries.just check the internet.make sure if its generic its an exact replacement to the brand name in there now so you wont have problems.

That's good advice. If you buy from a top-rated seller, you are likely to find an OEM quality replacement at a great price. Currently I buy most of my laptop and printer parts from eBay sellers.
