I want to upgrade to Windows 7 from Win XP Home Edition. Where on the internet can I get a free trial of Windows 7 for non-IT professionals after the beta close in March 2010? Also, where can I get a free copy of Windows 7 online?

    Thank you

    David Jensen

There are no free copies of windows 7 online. It has to be purchased. That free trial is long gone.I would check first to see if your computer can run windows 7 and if theres even drivers for it.

Here is the support site for the HP Pavilion a1200y desktop - which was introduced in November 2005.

I've reviewed and researched the hardware components that come in that desktop and the upgrade options that you'll need to make before you can upgrade it to Windows 7(32-bit).

At the very least, you'll need to upgrade its integrated graphics to a video card that supports Windows 7, and you'll need to max out the RAM to its fully-supported amount of 2048 MB(2 GB).
