I am not sure where to start. My mom's computer was having problems, tried to fix them and was doing just fine until I restarted. Then I got an error don't remember exactly the wording but it mentioned "syscpy.exe".

My question is, are all syscpy errors and fixes the same or should i post my own hijackthis log file??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cool, I haven't looked at Hijackthis. To post the log do I just need to copy/paste?? Or am I getting ahead of my self?

Here are the directions and the link so you will have them tomorrow.

Go here http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ and download Hijack This. Un Zip it and click on the Hijackthis.exe.

Click the "Scan" button when the scan is finished the scan button will become "Save Log" click that and save the log.

Go to where you saved the log and click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" then Paste the log back here in a reply.

Do NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

OK, sounds easy SO far. But from reading some other posts here it could get alot more complicated.
