I've started using keyboard shortcuts, (ctrl+a, ctrl+w etc.) and I've been using the windows key+d to minimize all windows, but sometimes when I do this my taskbar disappears! What the heck is that about? I have to maximize and minimize them a few times to get it back, but this is a strange development.
Anyone know what's causing this error?

try using Windows key +m to minimise, and see if you still lose your toolbar.

Or click the Show Desktop Icon. If you want to use the shortest way put a shortcut of Show Desktop on your desktop and assign one of your seldom used F keys to it. Then your are one click away from what ever is assigned to the F key. I am using 9 of these.

Using the F keys will take away their intended function, but most are seldom used anyway. To get the function back just unasign the key in your shortcut.
