Good for the Habs (y)

I still don't them though :p

I grew up with the Windsor Ontario TV as the only hockey and they had the Maple Leafs.

The Habs are the equivalent of the NY Yankees in baseball. If my history is right the Habs had some thing that gave them an advantage drafting the french canadian kids back then

A little history lesson:

In the 100 years of Habs history they have won the Cup a total of 24 years for a nearly 25% sucess rate. Boston has won 5 times in 84 years. You do the math.

In 30 playoff series between Boston and Montreal the record is Montreal 23, Boston 7. You do the math.

In my lifetime I have personally watched my favourite team win the cup no less than 12 times. No other team has even won that many Cups. How many times has your favourite team won it? Do the math.

Enjoy the playoffs. :)

For the last time. If the Penguins can stay healthy the cup is theirs. If they lose Sidney or Malkin they may be in trouble but this year they have fought through the injury bug to get where they are.

Go ahead and discount them. Ignore me, I am a homer and know nothing about the game. ;) They have as good of or better chance than anybody.

Homerism at it's best. LOL :D If they lose out, I am still proud of the "hometown" boys.

Beat the tar out of the Boston Cream Pies and set their way on the road to the cup. There is no statute of limitations on history. The Habs are, and will remain, the best until some team manages to surpass them in Stanley Cup wins, the true measure of world hockey supremacy!
