    N.C. (AP)
    means please.

    It is a place, im pretty sure in America

    North Carolina???

    Not sure what the (AP) stands for but it looks like the same thing the Associated Press uses when they put out an article. It would help if we had the context of that line of text.

    Thanks, yes it is from a news article, i didnt realise that (AP)
    was not part of the place - name,
    well nearly a name, sort of a hint really,
    its:
    DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (AP)
    i'll carry on looking now assuming 'North Carolina'

    just in case ... could it be anywhere else ?

    There is a real Devil Hills, North Carolina... They did a lot of live video from there during hurricane Izzzie
