My first time building a PC, my parts are on order but may need to change out the GPU that I've ordered.

I've got an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with a MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti on order, but my monitor that I have already is a Philips monitor with freesync capabilities. Nividia cards don't support freesync from what I've recently learned, my question is should I change up my GPU to a freesync capable one like the MSI Radeon RX VEGA 56?

You will need an AMD GPU to use freesync so the answer is Yes.
