    Which Is The Ultimate Encyclopedia?

    Microsoft Encarta Premium Suite 2004 DVD Edition
    £49.98 @ www.simply.co.uk

    Encyclopedia Britannica 2004 Ultimate Reference Suite
    And Britannica Quizmaster DVD Edition
    £48.98 @ www.amazon.co.uk

    I've always wanted to get the Encyclopedia Britannica but I do like the layout of Microsoft Encarta.
    If any Teachers/Scholars have had experience with both these programs could you please give me your
    opinion on which you have found to be:

    A: The most user friendly & aesthetically pleasing to the eye;
    B: The most comprehensive & knowledgeably informative.

    This will be a one time only purchase (I don't plan to upgrade every year) so I'd really like to pick the best of the bunch.
    The content would be more important to me than the prettiness so I hope that helps.

    Thanks in advance for feedback, opinions & recommendations.

    Any comments from people who use either of these programs would be most appreciated.

    After looking at both programs on different friends computers I've decided that (in my opinion) Microsoft Encarta Premium Suite 2004 is far more user friendly & intuitive than Encyclopedia Britannica 2004.

    Just to inform anyone else wondering the same thing...

    Having used both Encarta & EB, I would agree completely with the post by Steadfast.

    EB is technically better but Encarta a great deal easier to use.
