    Hi everybody :
Currently, I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Motherboard, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, 500 GB Hard Drive, 3Gb RAM (no Video Card......mine died). I thinking about having to get another motherboard. The Ethernet Controller died. Anyway......I'm not sure which is better. A Gaming motherboard or a "good" regular motherboard. I'm thinking in terms of using it for 3D Rendering. Once I decide WHICH motherboard, of course that'll dictate WHICH Intel processor. In this case, would a gaming motherboard be faster (more robust) ?. I pretty much know WHAT I want. At least 3 PCI /PCI-E slots for one.......and the usual....USB......Ethernet port....etc..........
    Advice ? garystan

    What's the budget?

Will you be sticking with Windows 7?

    SpywareDr :
That depends on the motherboard. Some work only with Windows 10. garystan

If you only replace the motherboard you will need one that will run your existing Cpu (an Intel i3-3220 going by your Speccy data in your other thread) and Ram.

Why not just fit an internal or Usb network adapter ?
