    Hello there,

I remember reading a post about some MS update that is slowing down Win XP. Searching this forum (and the archive) didn't yield any result.

Which MS update(s) is/are slowing down Win XP?

    THX.

This is the first time I have heard this and don't know what 2 say.
Windows is full of bugs, glitches, flaws, security vunrabilities - u name it, and now microsoft wants 2 bring more chaos to the world by making an update that making the whole thing worse? I doubt this is the case, however wouldn't be suprised if it was true.

Its well known, and I believe it was Q811493 Hotfix

It doesn't affect all installations (none of my 4 were affected)

A re-release of that hotfix was posted a couple of months after the original one. It corrected the slowdown problem(on my XP computer anyway).
