So, can we say that the home computer revolution began about May of '81?
    (That's 1981 if this ever gets archived :) )

I read or heard something recently, forgot the details so this could be incorrect:
about the very first webpage...had three lines of text and no links -

    Welcome to the WWW! :D

RT, If it was the very first page, what would you expect it to link to? :D

I saw that link a while ago and checked it out, was pretty cool, lots of interesting stuff to check out some time when I'm bored and not in these Random Discussions, anyways the one I did check out was "Linus Torvalds' Linux announcement" The first time he talked about Creating the Open source wonder we all know as Linux. Was pretty interesting, a little before my time so I didn't really know what they were talking about, (I think I was in 5th grade that year) but very interesting none the less.

Hey , maybe those three lines were like really really important, like the meaning of life or something.
If so, I guess most of us missed it! :)

Kind of a "had to be there" thing.

So who was going to sign up for a connection that wasn't there until the first page was put up?????

Darn, the one chance I had to find out the meaning of life too......

Good point about signing up for the connection, kinda like who's going to buy a tv if there's no stations that brodcast to it.
