Why cant Camtasia screen record WMP?

    I want to make a AMV but when i try screen record Windows media player it doesnt show!


    Im using camtasia by the way.

    Someone help me?

    Video games and media players use a mode called video overlay which won't record with normal screen capture software. You can try turning off all video accelleration but that might cause other recording problems.

    Ohh i see,But how do people make AMVs then ?

    Go to the troubleshoot section of your video display options and push the slider all the way to the left to turn off all DirectX overlays. Then it should work.

    Or use an app that can record DirectX, like HypersnapDX.
