I keep getting warning messages that my computer is out of memory and that I should close some programs.

I am running an Intel Pentium IV motherboard(Intel D845GV with a 1.6GHz CPU and 1.5GHz of RAM(3 x 512MB SIMs)and using Windows Millennium as an operting system. The system also has a tendancy also to lock up from time to time.

These problems do not seem to be associated with any particular program. Allso the motherboard manufacturers data indicated that it will support 1.5GHZ of RAM.

I don't understand why this is happening it is very annoying particularly seeing I have spent so much money on RAM. Any help I can get to fix this would be very much appreciated.
