Why do people believe conspiracy theories instead of believing true facts?

A lot of reasons. And even a lot of combinations of those reasons :D

Politics.
Religion.
Education.
Ignorance.
Stupidity.

As far as the so called 'plandemic', I would include all of the above.

Of course, 'ignorance' and 'stupidity' don't really happen at the same time.
Ignorance is the lack of knowledge.
Stupidity is the inability to recognize knowledge.
So it's a bit difficult at first to determine status at that point, so just let them express themselves for a few more seconds ( :D )

The above leads to what has been recently termed BS Receptivity.
A mental condition.

The TSG censor won't let me post the links to this mental aberation because of the term used, but this general google search link gives an excellent description.

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=BS+Receptivity.+A+mental+condition.

Basically, it's the death of critical thinking.

Obviously you didn't even bother to check out their claims.
They failed on the most obvious one, the claim Covid-19 test kits were sold before SARS-CoV-2 infected humans.

Use the search terms:
Debunked COVID-19 test kits sold before 2019

Why do you do things like this, steppenwolf?
It's easy to refute your silly claims.

You only embarrass yourself

If you don't believe that "germ theory" is real...
Pandemic outbreaks happen. They've been happening since before we showed up.

That's an interesting question.. If there are no humans can you have a pandemic? I mean if the disease is killing off say squirrels doesn't it constitute a pandemic? It's the medical equivalent of "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?"

Yes, I know, a little esoteric but I'm COVID bored.

Yes.

Yes. A pandemic for squirrels.
It's the medical equivalent of "If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?"
Imagine a pandemic killing off every bird on Earth. How would that effect humans?
Ecosystem/Food-Chain...and all that.

I would think the meteor strike would be classed as a pandemic...
