I usually use FF and I can drag and drop with it but when I use IE7 I can't highlight text and drop it into a search box like I think previous versions would do, I have to copy and paste instead? I have 2 computers and have the same problem on both. Is this feature disabled in IE7?

SweetChick,

In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Security

Select Internet from the list of Zones and click the Custom level... button.

Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section and look for Drag and drop or copy and paste files.

Make sure Enable is selected.

Click OK, Apply, OK.

Strange. I have never been able to just highlight words
in IE6 or IE7 and drag it anywhere.

Any chance you installed IE7Pro?

Yes, copy/paste is easy. To try it with notepad, I just
right-clicked taskbar and stacked IE over Notepad and
then just switched back to normal.

Then it could be the Word engine allowing drag/drop.
