Please, can someone help me? When I start up my cpu, it makes a really loud whirring noise, but after I am logged into Windows and after about 2 minutes, the whirring sound subsides. I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with my computer.... I'm extremely worried about that weird whirring sound. Please help me!!

    Thank you!!

it could be fans or harddrive - but do you have CD in the PC - that would spin up on boot and then once reached speed - if not used it would stop.

Hi Candi Next time it starts making a noise place your hand on the top , sides and gently push an see if this changes , quiets the noise . If it does , place the computer on something like mousepad material under one corner at a time leave it at whatever corner makes the noise subside. I have a small pocket book under one corner of an old computer . Works great . ;) (y)
