Why does this pop up when I try to install W7?

    I install W7 from Windows XP but it says not compatible blah blah..?

    If your W7 DVD is an Upgrade version, it's telling you that your XP system doesn't qualify as a valid upgradeable product - possibly because it was an OEM system that came with the computer.

    If it isn't an upgrade, the Compatibility Checker should tell you the reasons and they may include one or more of your hardware manufacturers not having provided drivers for W7. Posting the precise blah blah may help posters decide.
