Why is mouse flickering?

    Could be a physical problem, maybe the mouse cord is damaged or the mouse itself.

    Could be software problem, some program is hoarding cpu time. Look in msconfig > Startup tab. Shown there is the list of programs that run upon login. Uncheckmark everything except your antivirus and see if things improve. Then re-checkmark one by one until you have isolated the program causing the lag.

    Try doing a System Restore to a previous date.
