    Hi there,

I used Norton anti virus to scan "my computer." It took 35 min. 30 sec. and scanned a total of 21820 files. Why is it so slow? Is there any software a bit faster? During its scanning I didn't run any other program, afraid of screw up things.

My system is Windows 2000 Pro. Processor is 400 Mhz. 128 Ram.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello fei888! :D

Well virus scans are usually slow because they have to thoroughly scan through each file to make sure that it is not infected.
