wierd internet problem!!

    Ok here is the deal...i have cable so my connection should be pretty fast but a while ago it gone slow( i went to check my speed on that CNET connection test and it told me my speed is lower than that of a phone line ...so i call my internet provider Rogers..well they told me everything is fine no problem there..but here is the thing ..while i was talking to them (i guess they ping into my computer) i went on the CNET test and it was through the roof ..about the same as T1...ive done that a few times just to see if i was right about that..can anybody tell me why that is..and how can i stay at those speeds while not being ping into their thing( or whatever they do while i talk to them)
