wierd noises

    I know almost nothing about computers, but I bought a lenovo less than a year ago, and now its started making a really loud buzzing noise whenever it's in use. if it's not on a flat surface, the noise stops, and if it's not in use the noise stops...I should probably note I'm also deployed, so there's a lot of dust everywhere. What could this noise be, and is there a quick way to fix this while still over here?

    Open it up and try to isolate the sound. Most likely, it's dirty inside and needs to be cleaned. It's also possible the dirt/dust and caused a fan bearing to fail.
