I have a HP envy m4 notebook
My airplane mode is turned off, and router is all fine but itn says
"No internet connection found"
I troubleshooted, then It said
"Connect to Ethernet"
But I never used an Ethernet cable for internet. I've always used WiFi
I went to device manager, and there was only Ethernet under Network & internet. WiFi option wasn't even there.
I restored my laptop (windows 10 running Btw)
The problem still wasn't solves and even more now another problem arose.
"No sound device installed"

has the wireless ever worked
What windows version did you upgrade from ?
whats the exact model of the HP envy m4 should be some more numbers

You should have a wireless light - is that on and what colour
See here
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03600883
page 8
Also that Key with FN may switch the wireless on off

In device manager can you see any other items with a !
look in
Other
sometimes if its a driver issue you have unknown devices
and you need to install the driver
OR
I have seen when the wireless is switched off - it does show in device manager
check the wireless is on

Check the wireless is switched ON
theres often a physical switch or a combination of the FN and one of the F keys to toggle the wireless on/off
often F2 is used - but note , not always - look for a symbol that looks a little like (( i ))

is the wireless on?
