This is showing on the description for the wifi adapter. If it's disabled, it won't try to discover a DHCP server to lease an IP.

Has the wireless worked before ?

Make sure it's switched on, there is often a FN + F key combination that toggles it off and on, the F key will have an antenna symbol on it.

In Device Manager under Network Adapters is the wireless card listed and if you right-click on it then click Properties is everything ok there ?

Please run this on the laptop and copy and paste the blue text it outputs into your reply :- https://static.techguy.org/download/SysInfo.exe

Thanks , and DHCP was enabled, sorry I was in hurry to shut down. It’s unsupported and I’m hoping for a miracle. I recovered this notebook this week.

Function key is normalized and all the properties are good, I’ve been trying each setting to find an anomaly.

In your first post you said.
    and
    Then
Why are you wasting time on a wif dongle that you know is not supported?
Buy a wifi dongle that is supported on your HP laptop.

Is the Intel 1000 an internal wireless card or a Usb external one ?

HP has a Windows 7 driver for that wireless card here :- https://support.hp.com/us-en/driver...ies/4004505/model/4035648/swItemId/ob-76419-2
    Try this HP one first.

Intel has drivers up to Windows 8.1 here :- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...-Intel-Centrino-Wireless-N-1000?product=59480
Try the driver for your Windows version and match the 32 or 64 bit if there are separate drivers for each.

Since you have Windows 10 try the Intel Windows 8.1 64 bit drivers.

From your IPCONFIG info your wired connection looks ok, does it work ?
