I live in a basement apartment. The cable and wifi are included in my rent. However, the connection is not strong enough for me to work from home. I have a number of video conferences a week and the connection is not strong enough to have reliable connects for Zoom or Skype. Can you recommend a solution for me that is reasonably priced? The landlord is not willing to upgrade her services.

    Thanks,

    Pam

You could always ask your landlord if you could purchase a repeater and have it connected to their equipment. I've included this one purely as an example, since I have no way of knowing your landlord's connectivity setup without you providing more information.

Are you referring to cable TV and Wi-Fi internet that's included in your rent?
Do you have the ability to have a wired ethernet internet connection?
Do you know what internet speed plan your landlord has?

Unfortunately if you are using your wireless for your video conferences then you are going to be limited by the users on the same wireless connection as well as the speed of it too. You would need an Ethernet connection as Flavalle mentioned so are you able to get an Ethernet connection from your apartment complex or get your own connection from the provider?
