I purchased a NookColor ereader. I can connect to the network, but will not accept my password to open secure setting. Connection says good. I am connected to WPA/Wpa2
Has anyone else had this problem?
Would really appreciate an answer to solve this.
    thanks

You should not be able to connect without a password, so you better check the network settings because if you can connect, so can anyone else.

Maybe I didn't explain. My ereader sees my username and shows that I am connected. It prompts me for my password, I type it in and it will not do a search. It disconnects.
I don't have a problem with my laptop. So, Im wondering if it is something with my router.

Is it only a search that causes this? Does the connection work otherwise? How far away is the router?

When you say "connected" do you mean the device has been assigned a good IP configuration and can communicate with the router or do you mean merely that the device is broadcasting on the same channel as the router? I suspect the latter, and in that case I advise to disable encryption and MAC Address filtering on the router and try to connect that way. If successful you can probably then re-enable encryption and reconnect.

Thank you Terry Net. That just might do the trick. It is broadcasting on the same channel as the router. you are right. I'm thinking that when you say to disable encryption and MAC address filtering on the router, I assume you mean to avoid the password and use admin and admin only.
I have done that. However, not from the MAC. I will try. thanks for answering so promptly. My laptop was interfering with me getting online. That is why my reply was so late.

If you're still having trouble what is the brand and model of the router?

I understand that the problem involves the ereader but the following from your laptop will help me understand your environment ...

Please attach a screen shot of the Networks page of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector and show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
