Hello!

I see that both your Ethernet (wired) and Wireless connections are connected to the same network.

If you are normally connected with Ethernet, I would suggest disabling your wireless connection by going to Airplane mode and see if you see a difference.

The other thing I found is that one of your DNS servers is 4.2.2.2, which according to some, should not be used by consumer. We can try changing this by right clicking on the network icon on the bottom and choose Open Network and Internet Settings.

Click on Change Adapter Options. Right click on your network connection and choose Properties. Select Internet Protocol IPv4 and click Properties.

Select Use the following DNS Server Address and type 8.8.8.8 for Preferred and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS Server.

Remove the ethernet cable and see if the wireless connection gives better service.

I suggest this because you said the phone does better on your wireless, and Windows (at least it used to) will use the ethernet and ignore the wireless when you give it the choice.

Your signal quality is showing low. How far are you? Is your router situated out in the open, or behind anything?

The distance and Line of Sight would also play on the speed of the wireless connection.

If you bring the laptop closer to the router, does the signal change?

(Note to others: the network card only supports 2.4GHz)

OK, that does complicate the troubleshooting :)

Personally I would stick with Ethernet since you are able to connect with the cable, that way you are not having to deal with interference like you would with wireless.

Anyways, I forgot to ask, do you have any antivirus or internet security programs like Norton, or McAfee?
