i have posted this but no one has even viewed it as the title wasn't very good.

Anyway, i have 2 wifi routers, one in the lounge that is on internet, one in my room that is not.

i want them both to be able to supply internet.

the one in my room will just be used to ethernet internet into my PS3.

alternative is that i use the wifi on my laptop then ethernet my laptop to PS3, is this possible?

If the routers have bridging capability, you can set them up in bridged mode. Otherwise, your other options is to connect the two routers together with an ethernet cable.

The instruction above are detailed instructions on how to connecto so routers together. You don't want each routers DHCP server fighting with each other. What you are basically doing is turning one of the routers into a switch. You don't use the WAN port of the second router. You connect the two routers together from a switch port on each device.

Well you could try setting up ICS on your computer with a crossover cable to your PS3 but it isn't the most reliable thing on the planet. I don't think you will be to happy about your game play over it. I thought the PS3 had wireless adapters builtin?

They do, and i use wifi to connect to the internet and games are fine.

however the PS3 also has a partitioned hard drive which is for use to install another OS, i have installed Ubuntu, which on PS3 v2.20 has a glitch that it cant connect to wifi anymore (not when in ps3 mode thats still fine) i just need to connect the Ubuntu side for about 5mins to download an update.

I personally wouldn't even attempt ICS on Vista to a Linux PS3. That is just too nasty of a combination for me. I would rather run an ethernet cable between the two routers. You know they do have a new version of Ubuntu out.

From what I have read you have to run a patched Kernel on Ubunut if you are running a PS3 firmware 2.10 or higher.
