WIFI Wont WOrk Inspiron 1525 dell=smell

    I just wiped my girlfriends lappy,(y) and re-installed vista,(y) i poped in the drivers disc and installed ethernet controller and WLAN(y),
    But the wifi just wont work:eek:, i went to to the dell site, and downloaded, more drivers,(y) but it still wont work!! :(:confused:

    HELP!!!:(!! I dont know wat to do here.

    Download the chipset driver for your model,if available.
    Look at device manager/network adapters and any other devices that show in error status.
    All network devices should be error free ,enabled and working properly status.
    Look at driver that are being used(name and location)

    I did that before. showing this message:

    "Windows could not find driver sotware fro your device, if you know the manufacturer of your device you can vistit, it website and check the support section for driver software"

    Use the service tag # from the machine and it should take you to the correct downloads for your exact machine.

    Uhu, youd think it would but, its not doing the trick,(n) the new driver installs, i switch on the wifi switch, nothing happens,:( i restart, switch it on again and still nothing.:mad:

    Thanks, good advice though.

    Any other suggestions?:confused:

    are you sure u turned on the wifi? press the fn key and f2 and there should be a sign that pops up on the bottom right corner on the screen

    Theres not even an option for it in the network center...

    And device manager says "windows could not find software for your device" Every time i try to fix her computers wifi i get Stressed, i love solving problems but this really isnt entertaining me.

    Spose we cant choose our problems.........
