My son downloaded wild tangent on my home PC and I uninstalled it...I am not a game player. Now, whenever I reboot I get a windows box Rundll which states: Error loading C:\program files\wild tangent\apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll. The specified module could not be found. How do I kill this box? I have Windows XP home ed. Thanks

Wild Tangent is loaded with "spyware". Download AdAware SE personel and Spybot search and destroy, update and run them. Fix what they find and reboot. It should be gone.

    Get the programs here. http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html

Copy the info in the scan (thats saved to your desltop)
    and paste that info here.

Your right there wild tangent agent is a shocker, you can get ad-aware 6 for free. It found 164 bits of spyware on my computer from a hacker site.

Hello RLeitzke and Welcome to TSG! :D

Open the Registry Editor by going Start > Run and type regedit.
At the top click on "Edit" and choose "Find".

If it locates you to cdaengine0400.dll then delete it.

Restart your computer and see if the error message is gone.

    Good Luck! (y)

Crushbone: Kudos! Your recommendation worked...box gone. Search to find cdaengine0400.dll turned up WildTangent in the registry. Thanks for a no cost solution. Rue
