I've use Cacheman before on Windows 98. There it was fine. After the first launch the program did launch faster. However now I have an AMD Phenom 550 and Windows 7. Is Cacheman a waste of money now or is it worth it?

    I have 4g of DDR3 RAM.

I would say waste of money 7 manages RAM in a totally different way to xp/98 etc look at task manager

resource monitor/RAM at the bottom to see the difference with RAM being "booked" for later use

Total waste of money & space

W7 handles memory in a totally different way to older versions of windows & any attempt to "help" it manage ram always ends in disaster

Don't waste your money on nor use programs that claim to clean/boost/optimize/tuneup your computer and make it run faster and better. The end result can be broken programs and a damaged operating system.
