i have a 3.8 GHZ processor(single core), dual 256 mb nividia 7800 GTX graphic cards, 2 GB ram. For example i ca run Quake four on Ultra high and everyting turned up to the max, except for the anti-alaising, this holds true for F.E.A.R, i can run it on max everything except i have to turn off the V-Sync...i was wondering if i put anpotehr 2 GB of ram into my compter if it would help me be able to turn on these few features that i cant turn on?

I doubt it will make a difference, especially since those settings are almost completely affected by video card only.

Turning off Vsync shouldn't really be a problem...unless it creates artifacts or jagged edges with it off, I would just leave it. I'm pretty sure vsync doesn't really make things look much better.

As far as the anti-aliasing in Q4, is it able to run with anti-aliasing on, but it just doesn't run well? Or does the game not let you change anti-aliasing settings at all?

The only thing you could really do to improve anything would be making sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, and your motherboard as well.

OK, but is that the max setting the game lets you set it at, or is that the max setting that it runs decently at?
