This is what happened: I accidentally pressed the power off button on the surge protector with my foot while working on the computer.

Now when I try to boot the computer it goes to the boot menu where I can choose Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, or Start Windows Normally. I have tried all three options but when I pick any of them it just reboots the computer and goes back to the same place.

What is wrong? How do I get passed that menu?

Try holding down the F8 key (or continually tapping it) while the computer is booting. This will give you a boot menu with more choices. Choose "Last known good" and see what happens.
