Where is the option setting for Win 10 to NOT display a file as anything but it's name?
Running around this AM with Hurricane Irma in the offing taking pics of house and grounds. My camera records a JPEG and a Raw file. When I download (to backup) the images on to my Desktop it takes Win 10 <removed> forever to stop trying to display the Raw files. Obviously I've got something set so Win 10 can't ignore the files. What? I set the view option to detail only but it still takes an inordinate amount of time. Arg! Advice please.

Raw files are super big so it will take much more time to display them.

Are you trying to view a listing of these files or the files themselves?

Why are you using Raw type of images?

Why use raw? Cause I want to. Eventually I'll settle on a Raw interpreter. For the moment I just want to store them.

Under View options, choose List view instead of Details.

List just displays the filename, no date, no size
